Are Anti-Aging Products Worth it? Do we want to live to be 100?
By Admin | March 19th, 2010
There are so many different anti aging products on the market, you would think that the age expectancy would be through the roof. It’s not enough that we just want a longer fuller life, but we want a better looking life. Is living a long live looking good really all that it is cracked up to be? And more importantly is it worth it? People have very different stances and opinions on aging gracefully versus anti aging. What is more important, allowing the process of aging to take effect or fight it? Do we want to spend/waste our time, money, and effort when we are younger trying to prevent the unpreventable? Or will these measures truly stack out in our favor in the end?
The first difference lies in whether you are using anti aging products just for your skin and face to try to achieve a younger looking appearance or whether you are using anti aging products to try to increase your life expectancy. Products to help you look and feel younger are going to affect your body a lot differently than those that try to alter your “inner workings”. Products that help you look younger will not only help you to achieve better self confidence but they will also give you motivation to keep on living. Products and procedures to help you live longer deal more greatly with what you do, how you live, and what you eat. Tied together the processes of putting together a program that will help you both look and feel younger is nothing that is going to hurt you in the long term.
Is Quality of Live and Issue Worth Mentioning?
Sure it is! When trying to determine if using anti aging products, trying to optimize your daily habits, and push the limits as what your body can do, you have to factor in the quality of life factor. When trying to achieve a long life you have to realize that your quality of live is going to deteriorate exponentially. Living to 100 is attainable; you just might not realize what you are doing at all times. Only 30% of your genes affect your longevity, which means that you control 70% of your longevity. Things like stress, lifestyle, exercise, and nutrition all tremendously affect how long you will live.
Obviously the length of your life is determined by both external and internal factors, some that you can control and others that you cannot. It is up to you whether you want to spend the time and money buying products and services to help you look and feel better during your old age. Looking and feeling better however will not only reduce your stress levels, but they will also give you that confidence and self worth that might just increase the number of years you have on this earth. Quality of life also plays an issue as each individual person is going to have to look inside themselves to see how they want to live their life.
